The Spirit of Fear is not of God
No one who walks with God needs to fear the world. He is more faithful than we could ever be and sent our helper, his spirit, to stand with us.
God speaks to me daily, and I ask him never to let me forget what is at stake and what he has done for me. The wicked one comes for me daily and pollutes the world with obstacles at every turn. I implore the Most High to stand strong beside me because I know it is impossible to walk this road under my strength, and the spirit of fear in the world will overcome me without Him.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
The world is filled with powers who stand against God. These powers fight against the Most High by fighting against his servants. We are in the world and must endure until the end, but without our advocate making a hedge about us, we would not last one day.
Watch & Pray
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Matthew 26:41 (KJV)
A war of sin versus righteousness rages around us daily. It ravages many souls standing while remaining hidden in plain sight; no one could navigate these rough waters without the Most High.
One of the most potent weapons of the enemy is fear.
They wield this weapon skillfully and pose barrier after barrier in everyone's path. Ultimately, nobody could survive the onslaught if left on their own. Fortunately, Jesus made way for God's glory to be in the world, and this helper, also known as the comforter, advocate, the Holy Spirit, and the Spirit of God, is here to walk with us on this journey.
Once you know that someone more powerful than the world has got your back, there is no need to be afraid.
We are taught to Reason
12. For fear is nothing else but a betraying of the succours which reason offereth.
13. And the expectation from within, being less, counteth the ignorance more than the cause which bringeth the torment.
Fear is nothing but the forsaking or inability of sound reasoning. Ultimately, with diminished reasoning, one puts more weight on ignorance than the cause of the torment.
Fear restrains our potential and stops us from joining the team of the Most High. It keeps us out of the war for righteousness and, consequently, puts us on the enemy's side. Knowing the power of God is done through submission. Submit to His will and laws instead of those taught in the world.
The truth is obvious—the one you serve is whose laws you obey. Surrendering to false teachings is avoiding the truth so that you can stay in your lusts and hide behind your fleshly fears.
Many people speak with their mouths, claiming to love God but refusing to keep his commands. Out of the lusts of their hearts and the fear of the world, they delude into thinking they are on the right path. Nevertheless, the scriptures teach that we cannot love God without keeping his commands.
3 We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. 4 Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. 5 But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: 6 Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.
Jesus kept his Father's commands, but too many absorb unsound doctrines because they are afraid of being persecuted like Jesus. The rock hit the bottom of the image and smashed it to pieces, destroying all the previous empires. It grew into a mountain and spread throughout the world. If you do not stand, you will not be counted as part of that mountain—nation—empire, the kingdom of God (Daniel 2:33-35+44-45).
Final Thoughts
We must trust in God, believing that his word is true. Without this belief, built on evidence, how can one stand in troubled times? The advocate teaches everything and gives a solid foundation—the rock on which those who want to walk with God till the end must stand.
Faith is not a feeling; it is knowing God and knowing for surety through evidence that his word is true and he is real.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Hosea 4:6 (KJV)
If you reject God's laws, God will reject you. Knowledge and wisdom come through God's teachings; therefore, how can you know him and stand on the rock if you do not keep his commands?
